As the popularity of distilled craft spirits continue to grow around the world, so does the importance of a distilleries brand. Creating and establishing a consistent brand look, feel and messaging is critical to the success of any product or service. Members of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail know this quite well.
The Bottle
One of the key components to a distillers brand is the bottle design. Distilled spirits makers have lots of choices from off the shelf bottles, to semi-custom bottles to completely custom bottles. Today’s distilled spirits lover’s can often tell you the name of a brand simply by seeing the shape of the bottle, the gentle curve of the neck, the sharp angle on the shoulder, the height of the punt or the tell tale wax dripping from the bottle.
