Terressentia Corporation, owners of the O.Z. Tyler Distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky and inventors of TerrePURE rapid aging technology has announced the appointment of Simon Burch as the company’s new President and CEO.
Burch will be be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of Terressentia, including the bulk and private label business, as well as the O.Z. Tyler Distillery.
“I am very proud to take the helm at Terressentia,” said Burch. “My predecessor, Earl Hewlette, has built an amazing company around the TerrePURE technology which has the promise to radically innovate the spirits industry and I am excited to lead that growth opportunity.”
Burch has extensive experience in the spirits industry having worked with some of the world’s most recognized brands. He was previously chief marketing officer for Belvedere Vodka where he oversaw the complete repositioning of the brand and launched the Belvedere E-Commerce platform. Before that, Burch was senior vice president of marketing at Diageo where he led Smirnoff Vodka brand, the world’s largest spirits brand.
Born in Cheshire, United Kingdom, Mr. Burch earned a B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Durham University in England and has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, graduating with high distinction as a Baker Scholar.

“Simon’s extensive background in distilled spirits combined with his experience in marketing and sales make him the ideal candidate to grow Terressentia’s business both nationally and internationally,” said David E. Terressentia Corporation is headquartered in North Charleston, S.C. and specializes in the production and sale of distilled spirits to large retail chains, individual brand owners, and other distilleries or exporters. The company also owns the recently opened O.Z. Tyler Distillery which produces its own brands as well as brands for customers.
