The Sazerac Company owners of Buffalo Trace Distillery and marquee bourbon brands like Pappy Van Winkle, E.H. Taylor, Eagle Rare, Blanton’s and many more has acquired 19 additional brands from Star Industries and Black Prince Distillery.
The brands purchased include a variety of gin, vodka, whiskey, bourbon and liqueurs. The following brands were included in the transaction.

- Llord’s – Schnapps
- Alexis – Vodka
- Alexi – Vodka
- Black Prince – Blended Scotch Whisky
- Blansac – Brandy
- Caribaya – Rum
- Carnaby’s – Gin
- Clyde’s – Gin
- Devil Springs – Vodka
- Donegal – Irish Whisky
- Dorado – Tequila
- Duncan’s – Gin
- Little John – Gin
- McColl’s – Blended Scotch Whisky
- J. Hodges – Bourbon and American Whiskey
- Sir Francis – Flavored Whiskey
- Wild Flame – Flavored Whiskey
Star Industries was founded in 1934 in a small store in Sunnyside, Queens, New York. The company has grown into one of America’s finest importers and suppliers of wine and spirits.

As part of the acquisition, Black Prince Distillery will continue to produce the purchased brands for Sazerac for a transition period of up to six months.
In November 2018, Sazerac announced it was purchasing 19 brands from Diageo for $550 million. You can read more about that transaction here – Diageo Sells 19 Brands to Sazerac for $550 Million – Includes Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Tequila & Liqueurs. That deal closed in late December 2018.
The purchase price for the Star Industries and Black Prince Distillery products was not disclosed.
The Sazerac Company of brands include products from Buffalo Trace Distillery, Barton 1792 Distillery, A. Smith Bowman Distillery and Glenmore Distillery.
