Casey Jones Distillery located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky is well known for their moonshine. Now for the first time this young craft spirits distillery is ready to release a Small Batch Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.
The release is major milestone for the distillery just in time for its fifth anniversary. “We have long standing family traditions in stills and moonshines,” said Co-Founder and Master Distiller Arlon Casey Jones (AJ). “Now, I get to release our first bourbon and start a new era.”
Initial planning to offer bourbon started in 2017. As the prospect for a release began to take shape, the distillery started a waiting list for patrons to gauge interest. The list quickly exceeded all expectations and indicated a high demand for a Casey Jones bourbon. To meet high demand, production is in full operation with a series of small batch bourbon releases slated.
“With a Jones family tradition and knowledge of how to make the best moonshine,” said distillery Co-Founder Peg Hays. “It is a natural step to make outstanding small-batch bourbon.”

Tasting Notes
“This bourbon has an amber hue with golden highlights and a rich aroma,” said AJ. “Tasting notes include butterscotch, toffee, dark fruits, smoky oak, and tobacco with a smooth, sweet, and medium long finish.”
Casey Jones Small Batch Kentucky Bourbon is an extremely limited run aged in various 25 and 53 gallon charred white oak barrels. The first small batch release is aged over one year and is bottled 104.2 proof (50.75% ABV). The bourbon is bottled uncut and future release may have higher or lower proof points. Casey Jones Small Batch Kentucky Bourbon is available now at the distillery and at retail locations with a suggested retail price of $39 to $49 for a 750ml bottle.
