Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky offers an eclectic line of one-of-a-kind expressions known as the Distillery Series. There are three annual releases of the distillery series. This latest release in the limited edition blend of Bourbon finished in French and California Brandy barrels.
“Each core expression of Woodford Reserve pushes the creative boundaries of whiskeys to the extreme, and I wanted this one-of-a-kind limited expression to be no exception,” said Master Distiller Chris Morris. “The result is a unique whiskey – the perfect addition to Woodford’s Distillery Series expressions.”
The result is a unique liquid with hints of caramel and chocolate-coated vanilla wafer laced with cotton candy and citrus peel.
Woodford Reserve Brandy Cask Finished Bourbon has brown sugar notes that mingle with a rich vanilla bean character. Fig and vine fruit round out the palate with a soft and powdery finish.
