Briggs of Burton Manufacturing facility in Burton on Trent, is responsible for building many of the world’s most famous Scotch Malt Whisky brands (The Glenlivet, Macallan, Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie) with its market leading mashing technology. Briggs of Burton also has Scottish coppersmiths, McMillan, who have over 150 year history of handcrafting traditional copper pot stills synonymous with many of the world renowned Scottish whisky brands.
From copper pot stills, condensers, and brass spirit safes, through to stainless steel and copper column distillation systems, McMillan supply copper distillation equipment to customers producing a wide range of spirits including whisky, gin, vodka, tequila, and rum. McMillan Coppersmiths and their craftsmen use their traditional coppersmithing techniques to shape and form the copper pot still bodies, necks and lyne arms adorned by many in the whisky industry. McMillan’s craftsmen take great pride in turning copper sheets into the beautiful pot stills responsible for much of the whisky produced around the world.
