Fred Noe, Jim Beam Master Distiller
“We’re here to make a little history and that’s what we are doing today”
~ Jim Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe said.
The new visitor center is 4,300 square feet located in the heart of Louisville’s Fourth Street entertainment district and about 25 miles from its flagship Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, KY. Unlike other new or planned distillery operations in Louisville, it’s not on Whiskey Row. It’s a short 10 minute walk to Whiskey Row to visit the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience or the Old Forester Distillery set to open in 2017. There are also several hotels within walking distance plus the Frazier History Museum, the official starting point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
Commemorative Jim Beam Stillhouse Select Label
“For more than 220 years, Jim Beam Bourbon has made history and continues to do so by opening its first visitors’ destination outside of our flagship distillery,” said Kevin Smith, Vice President, Kentucky Beam Bourbon Affairs. “We’ve taken the brand’s rich heritage and put an urban spin on it, offering guests an interactive Bourbon experience coupled with a retail location, right here in downtown Louisville. The Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse is another place Jim Beam fans can call home as an extension of our Jim Beam American Stillhouse experience in Clermont, Ky.”
