Michter’s Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky has been putting out its 25 year old bourbon for many years now. But because of limited availability and a specific taste taste profile desire it doesn’t come out every year but rather when the master distiller says it meets the standard. Good news for Michter’s fans is that this year’s 25 year old bourbon will soon hit the market.
Michter’s Master Distiller Dan McKee has approved the release of Michter’s 25 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey for bottling and distribution. The 2020 release marks the first bottling of Michter’s 25 Year Old Bourbon since 2017.
“The bourbon that has been selected for this release by Dan McKee and our Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson is truly extraordinary,” commented Michter’s President Joseph J. Magliocco.

“A hallmark of our older whiskeys is that they have beautifully complex character while not being overly oaked,” observed Wilson.
“When I tasted these particular 25 year barrels, I was thrilled about the quality,” said McKee.

Michter’s 2020 release of its 25 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon will be released in November 2020. The proof of this release is a robust 116.2 proof (58.1% ABV) and is offered with a suggested retail price of $1,000 for a 750ml bottle.
