Bourbon Tour Operator ‘Mint Julep Experiences’ Wins 11th TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Award

When Mint Julep Tours started based on a conversation over a ping-pong table in the basement of co-founders, owners and husband-wife team, Sean and Lisa Higgins basement back in 2007 they didn’t really know where it was all headed. Back in that day, bourbon was popular and had its fans but bourbon and Bourbonism wasn’t a ‘thing’.

Oh my how things have changed in the last 13 years. In today’s bourbon crazed world fans will stand in 30 degree weather for six hours in the hopes of getting their hands on those hard to get bottles of bourbon. Over those 13 years bourbon tourism has expanded as well. Bourbon tourism in the state of Kentucky now attracts well over 1 million visitors a year and continues to grow.

As tour operators Mint Julep Tours has grown and changed its name to Mint Julep Experiences to better reflect what they do. What they do goes well beyond tour operators driving a multi-passenger vehicle. What they do is create experiences for their customers. Experiences that their guests will remember for a lifetime. And as their business has grown they’ve also expanded operations into Tennessee.

Mint Julep Experiences Wins 11th Consecutive TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Award

Mint Julep Experiences makes it a “double” by being recognized among the best of the best in both Louisville, Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee, based on exceptional traveler reviews. The company was recognized as an overall 2020 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best award winner for Attractions/Tours. The award was given based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews prior to any changes caused by the pandemic. TripAdvisor says these award winners exemplify travelers’ ultimate favorite, the top 1% of hospitality businesses around the globe.
