Go to any whiskey event and you are very likely to see a Glencairn glass handed out to patrons. You’ll see it at tastings, festivals, bars and backyard barbecues. Many consider the iconic Glencairn shape to be the standard when it comes to the sharing of a dram. The Scotland based company has just celebrated its 15th consecutive year of global growth.
“We are so proud of the success we have achieved within the USA,” said Scott Davidson, New Product Development Director at Glencairn. “The growth in the whisky, specifically craft, sector within the USA has really enabled us to capitalize on what we do well as a business – focus on world-class client service and solutions, whilst building fantastic relationships within this increasingly dynamic and exciting sector. And, as always, we ensure that our customers’ needs are our number one priority.”
The Glencairn Crystal company is a Scottish family business owned and run by the Davidson family. The growth of the business over the past two years, driven most notably from growth within the USA, has been led by demand for the world recognized and industry accredited Glencairn whisky glass with its classic shape that is so well known to millions who enjoy their favorite dram. There has also been a growth in the design, creation and delivery of super-premium decanters for some of the world’s rarest and most expensive whiskies.
Factoid: Over 65,000 Glencairn glasses are now sold per week around the world.
