Churchill Downs, the world’s most legendary racetrack, has conducted Thoroughbred racing and presented America’s greatest race, the Kentucky Derby, continuously since 1875. As the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby nears, it can only mean one thing – time for Mint Julep Cocktails. But, no Derby would be complete without the running of the Kentucky Oaks the day before.
The Kentucky Oaks is a race reserved exclusively for the fillies. And no Oaks Day would be complete with its signature cocktail, the Oaks Day Lily Cocktail. Historically, around 85,000 Oaks Lilys are served each year at Churchill Downs.
