What’s your favorite day of the year? Your birthday? Your anniversary? Those are all wondful days but the answer for distilled spirits lovers is National Bourbon Day of course. This uniquely American day is observed to celebrate America’s only Native Spirit – Bourbon. The quality of this video is not great but with the recent loss of 45,000 barrels of Jim Beam Distillery bourbon at the Old Crow Distillery aging warehouses we thought it was the right time to share this video.
Watch this short clip of several bourbon 18 wheelers appropriatly led by Jim Beam.

While many industries compete to the point where they don’t talk to each other that could not be farther from the truth when it comes to the distilled spirits industry. If a pump fails at one distillery they can call another distillery 25 miles away and they are more than happy to lend a pump, a hand or whatever is necessary to keep the bourbon flowing. As the world watched the Jim Beam Distillery barrel warehouse collapse to the ground it didn’t take long for the Kentucky Distillers’ Association to put out the following statement.
“The KDA is working with Jim Beam officials as they investigate the cause of a fire at their Woodford County barrel warehouse facility. Most importantly, there were no injuries. The KDA and its members are working together to assist and support our friends at Beam.” ~ Kentucky Distillers’ Association
We hope you enjoy the video, the bourbon truck parade and celebrate America’s Amber Spirits (responsibily of course.)
Cheers,
