Old Dominick Distillery in Memphis, Tennessee is releasing its R & D Batch No. 8. Master Distiller, Snr. VP and President of the Tennessee Distillers Guild Alex Castle says this batch was so good last year they had to release it again this season.
All the Cookies Bourbon is a collaboration formed between Old Dominick Distillery and nearby Meddlesome Brewing Company in Cordova, Tennessee. This latest Research & Development project from Old Dominick is the 8th in a series of experiments from Castle. All the Cookies Bourbon is a single barrel high-rye bourbon bottled at cask strength. The bourbon was aged in a new, charred, white oak barrel for a minimum of four years before being finished in a barrel that once aged Meddlesome’s All the Cookies Ale.
‘All the Cookies Bourbon’ Tasting Notes
“The first release of All the Cookies Bourbon was one of my favorite products to date, but its release was a bit hampered by the start of the pandemic,” said Castle. “I am hoping this second release will ensure that more people are able to enjoy it both at the Distillery and at home.”
Castle says All the Cookies Bourbon boasts notes of “fresh oatmeal raisin cookie on the nose but maintains the palate of a bold, spicy bourbon.”
Old Dominick’s limited release All the Cookies Bourbon is a single barrel resulting in less than 500 bottles (375mL) and is bottled at 107 proof with a suggested retail price of $30.00. This distillery only release will be available beginning 4pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. All the Cookies Bourbon will also be included in the menu at The Bar located inside the Distillery.
