Congratulations to all the distillers who entered the 2018 American Craft Spirits Association’s competition to determine the best of the best in craft spirits. There were more than 500 entrants from all over the country. Spirits were submitted in six categories including Whiskey, Gin, Rum, Vodka & Grain Spirits, Brandy and Specialty Spirits. The awards are broken out into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Best in Class and the coveted Best of Show. If you ever thought winning an award was easy, it’s not. Unlike your kid’s soccer league where everyone gets a trophy that is not the case here. The judges take their responsibility seriously and awarded no gold medals for Rum, Gin or Vodka & Grain Spirits.
