Near the end of 2015, Wild Turkey announced their new turkey design for its bourbon and rye whiskeys. They have now released a consumer campaign to let the world know about the new true-to-life illustration of the turkey.
The new campaign uses Wild Turkey’s social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to direct traffic to a new Instagram account. The new account features 27 images that make up one large bottle of Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon Whiskey signed by Jimmy Russell. You can see the full size image below. It will be interesting to see if they add another 27 images in the future, perhaps with Eddie Russel’s Wild Turkey Bourbon or if they add images one at a time and muck up the bottle?

“While sticking with our traditional recipe and authentic values, we are excited to present new global packaging for Wild Turkey. Proudly and prominently featuring our turkey brand icon, this new premium look is the result of in-depth research, consulting with our distillery, and listening to bartenders and consumers,” said Melanie Batchelor, global vice president for spirits at Gruppo Campari.
Ben Franklin’s Thoughts on the Turkey
“For the Truth the Turkey is in Comparison a much more respectable Bird, and withal a true original Native of America… He is besides, though a little vain & silly, a Bird of Courage, and would not hesitate to attack a Grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his Farm Yard with a red Coat on.”
