Clay Risen, a reporter at The New York Times, is the author of a series of best-selling spirits books including American Whiskey, Bourbon & Rye: A Guide to the Nation’s Favorite Spirit, Single Malt: A Guide to the Whiskies of Scotland, and Rye: A Guide to the Nation’s Original Spirit. When he’s not writing about whiskey, he writes about American history, including, most recently, The Crowded Hour: Theodore Roosevelt, the Rough Riders, and the Dawn of the American Century.
Mason Walker is a fourth-generation Arizonan with a lifelong passion for collecting and storytelling. The son of an antiques dealer and expert in the history and culture of the American Southwest, Walker spent the last decade building one of the country’s most extensive collections of American whiskey, which became the basis for launching Bourbon Lore. Walker is the former CEO, of Audigy, a leading company in hearing care. His leadership has been instrumental in the company’s growth serving hundreds of the top hearing professionals in North America. He lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona with his wife and their four young children.
