Coalition Whiskey is the first 100% Rye Whiskey finished in hand-selected Bordeaux wine barrels. Our unusually bold mash bill of 90% rye and 10% malted rye was put together to please the most demanding high-quality Rye Whiskey fans.

Coalition Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey comes in three separate expressions finished in the very best hand selected barrels (barriques) from Bordeaux, France. Only the best of the best of the fine Bordeaux wine barrels are chosen including Margaux Barriques, Pauillac Barriques, and Sauternes Barriques. The barrels enhance the taste of Kentucky Rye in unique and intriguing ways. The result is an extraordinarily rich, flavorful, complex, and smooth whiskey with a long, pleasing aftertaste.

Coalition Whiskey is distilled, aged and bottled at Kentucky Artisan Distillery in Crestwood, Kentucky. It is created utilizing time-honored, true handcrafting techniques, including zero automation and an all-copper pot still dating back to pre-Prohibition. The precious rye grain that becomes our whiskey is harvested less than a mile away at the historic Waldeck Farm. Attention to detail is paramount at each step in creating the intense, rich, and spicy flavor of Coalition Whiskey.

Coalition Whiskey comes packaged in an Art Deco-inspired ridged glass bottle echoing the cut crystal decanters made famous during the 1920s – Rye Whiskey’s heyday. It is crowned with a glass-domed closure and accentuated with 18k gold accents, hinting at the precious liquid within.

Pauillac Barriques – Robust and confident. Our 100% Rye Kentucky Straight Whiskey is finished in Pauillac barrels and is bottled at 92.6 proof (46.3% ABV). It has a dark, seductive amber color and a very complex bouquet rich in blackberry, plum, cherry notes, hints of coffee, and spices, primarily black pepper. Sauternes Barriques – Sophisticated and balanced. Our 100% Rye Kentucky Straight Whiskey is finished in Sauternes barrels and is bottled at 94.2 proof (46.1% ABV). It has a deep amber color and a rich, fragrant nose with perfectly balanced honeyed vanilla notes, caramel, and apricot hints.
