Take just one sip of
Log Still Distillery spirits, and we think you’ll understand why this part of Central Kentucky is so special. After all, great distillers of days gone by, including members of our family, have proudly called this place home. Bourbon flowed freely here and paved a road to prosperity for nearly a century before Prohibition changed the tide of fortune.
Now, we’re forging new roads for generations to come at our old Kentucky home by bringing bourbon back to Gethsemane. Guided by Wally Dant and cousins Lynne and Charles Dant, Log Still is firmly built on faith and family. We fill each bottle with respect while honoring the history of bourbon and our family itself. Ever mindful that faith, family, community, and bourbon pave the way for future generations.
We invite you to visit us in Gethsemane. Sure, you’ll find a lot that’s shiny and new, but what you’ll feel is something deep and soulful.
Come see our distillery, 2300-seat Amphitheater – the Amp, our train experience, and all amenities this 350 acres of a true bourbon destination has to offer.
Log Still Distillery’s Spirits
It is here, along the rutted country lane to the old homeplace, where we now forge a new road at Log Still Distillery. To christen the journey, allow us to introduce Monk’s Road and Rattle & Snap.
Our Bourbons and Gins embody a true reflection of our most sacred values: faith, family and community. So, with a respectful nod to the past, we propose a toast — to the road ahead.
Monk’s Road Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey – The first release of our Fifth District series pays homage to a Cold Spring Distillery: a historic distillery in southern Nelson County, Kentucky, that was located on the property of our new distillery today. This 6-year-old single barrel bourbon masterfully mixes notes of corn, rye, and malted barley for a product that rekindles the spirit of yesteryear.

Monk’s Road Dry Gin – Our essential gin is a unique offering from the Kentucky hills of Nelson County, with a delicate balance of distinctly complementary botanicals. We’ve married watermelon rind with zests of orange and lemon for a bright and fresh flavor-creating the perfect gin for all seasons and palates. Sip it slowly and neat or dress it up in a cocktail. This palate pleaser possesses an air of refinement.

Monk’s Road Barrel Finished Gin – Utilizing our bourbon barrels, we handcrafted this barrel-finished gin in homage to the rolling Kentucky hills we call home, allowing fresh botanicals coriander, cranberry, juniper, and nutmeg to develop and mature into the perfect flavor profile. Smooth and complex with a subtle hint of smoke, Monk’s Road Barrel Finished Gin reflects the pride of the place and tradition that the Log Still family is known for.

Rattle & Snap Tennessee Whiskey
Rattle and Snap – the forgotten Southern game of chance. More than a few fortunes were won and lost on this risky Southern diversion. So, when it comes to making whiskey, when it comes to taking risks, and when it comes to boldly doing things our own way, you could say we were born into it.
