New Riff Distilling is a new riff on an old tradition. New Riff crafts a range of whiskeys—Bourbon, Rye, and eventually Malted Rye and a host of specialty recipes—as well as Kentucky Wild Gin. Our mission is simple: to someday be counted among the world’s great small distilleries. Becoming one of the great small distilleries of the world is a long term play, with no exact ring to win, or title to be declared.
We are independently owned by one family, and that independence, the freedom from outside pressures and interests has allowed us to make an unforeseen declaration for quality: for perhaps the first time since the inception of the Bottled in Bond Act in 1897, a Kentucky sour mash whiskey distillery has committed itself exclusively to that quality standard, the world’s highest. And we proudly lift that bar even higher by bottling without chill filtration. We stand behind this combination of classic American entrepreneurship and ingenuity; passion and knowledge born from one of the world’s great spirit regions; and a talented team individually committed to doing things the right way.

Up-Close Immersion in the Bourbon Experience.
Bonded Tour: Our BONDED tour offers a firsthand look through the nooks and crannies of our bourbon distilling process, from grain to barrel. We’ll explore fermentation, distillation, bottling and barreling as well as the modern event spaces perched neatly above our production space. After each tour, we offer a complimentary tasting of a variety of spirits, including New Riff Bourbon and Single Barrel. The tour lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. Learn more about the Bonded Tour.
Barrel Proof Tour: Join us on a tour of our West Newport Whiskey Campus. Twice a month we offer the chance to visit the New Riff “back of house.” Walk through our barrel warehouses capable of holding over 20,000 barrels of whiskey. Take in the angels’ share, see the turn of the century architecture home to our bottling hall and tasting rooms and most importantly, taste New Riff Bourbon thiefed directly from a barrel. Tower Room: Our unique venues are whiskey-infused with a behind-the-scene look into our bustling Bourbon distillery. They’re perfect for hosting a variety of special occasions including meetings, networking events, charity galas, weddings and more. The Tower Room includes a full bar and roof deck and offers a peek at the top of our copper column still, with garage doors leading to our outdoor terrace with sweeping views of Cincinnati and the Ohio River.
Rentals are for a 4-hour period and include free parking, dish-ware, glassware, flatware and furnishings for up to 120 guests. We offer bar packages at a per person rate that include bartenders, barware, alcohol, soft drinks, mixers, garnish, ice and cocktail napkins.
