Log Still Distillery in Gethsemane, Nelson County, Kentucky has appointed Jamie Alvey as regional sales manager and Denise Ingle as Kentucky state manager. Alvey and Ingle will help lead sales efforts for the distillery’s debut line of spirits, Monk’s Road bourbon and gins.
“Since sales started earlier this year, demand for Monk’s Road spirits has exceeded our expectations,” said Mary Margo Lankford, executive vice president. “We are confident that the excitement for our bourbon and gins will only grow with Denise and Jamie helping lead the charge. They bring extensive experience and strong relationships to our team, and we are fortunate to have them on board as we enter new markets.”
In his previous role, Alvey was regional sales director at Michter’s Distillery in Louisville, where he managed distributor relationships in 21 markets across 18 states and managed national accounts including Kroger, Meijer, and Target.
Ingle previously served as Vice President of Sales for Goodwood Brewing Co., where she managed distributor relationships across 15 states and managed chain partnerships nationwide.
The Log Still Distillery story all began with Joseph Washington Dant’s hollowing out a poplar log to distill his first batch of Kentucky bourbon almost 200 years ago. Now a new generation of distillers is reviving the family legacy, with Joseph Washington’s great-great-great-grandson J.W. (Wally) Dant, III, at the helm as president/distiller. The distillery opened its state-of-the-art Tasting Room in Gethsemane, Ky., in southern Nelson County in May 2021, and is the proud home of Monk’s Road bourbon and gins.
